Parks "Jack" Edwin Lowry

Mr. Parks “Jack” Edwin Lowry of Cullman Alabama passed away on January 24, 2013 at Hanceville Nursing Home and Rehab at the age of 89. Mr. Lowry was born on April 5, 1923 in Cullman Alabama to Snowda Parks and Esther Bradford Lowry. He served in The United States Army as a Military Police in World War II. After his discharge from the army he made farming his career. He is preceded in death by: Parents, 1 Brother: Joe Lowry, 1 Sister: Mary Grace Buchanan, 2 Sisters-In-Law: Virginia Calvert and Verna Lou Lowry.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at Sardis Baptist Church at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Donnie Yarbrough officiating. Interment will be in Bethsadia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Victor Buchanan, Barry Buchanan, Terry Lowry, Dale Lowry, Neil Lowery and Frank Ellis.

Survivors are: Wife: Betty Jane Calvert Lowry, 1 Brother-In-Law: Sim Calvert, 2 Sisters-In-Law: Mary Nell (John) Crook, Glenda (Dennis) Shinn, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Sardis Baptist Church Youth Fund or to your favorite charity.
