Mr. Powell passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Amanda Powell; two brothers, Calvin and Radford Powell; three sisters, Dolsie Cloud, Lora Elrod and Vernie Hallmark; and a daughter, Susan Powell.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Lorell Jacobs Powell; a daughter, Joyce (Greg) Douthit; a son, Alan (Barbara) Powell; six grandchildren, Amber Powell, Jessica Powell, Trent Powell, Sam Douthit, Blake Powell and Brit Powell; a great-granddaughter, Layla Parker; and a sister-in-law, Bobby Powell.
