Funeral services for R.L. “Bo” “Short Timer” Cordar, 79, of Hanceville will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, Bro. Johnny Crumpton officiating, with burial in Hopewell Cemetery.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cordar died Tuesday, Jan. 3, at his residence. He was born March 8, 1932, to William Charlie and Bessie McNeal Cordar. He was an operator at a pet food manufacturing facility.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sandy Cordar; two great-grandsons, Gavin and Brantley Walker; and five half-brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Palmer Cordar; a son, John (Amy) Cordar; three sisters, Evelyn Mayfield, Lillie Worden and Linda Patton; two granddaughters, Jessica (Lance) Walker, Katrina Cordar ; and a grandson, Nathan Parker.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday.
