Mrs. Stella Mae McCormick Clingerman

Funeral services for Mrs. Stella Mae Clingerman, age86 of Bremen, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Addington Chapel United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery, with Rev. Dan Anderson and Rev. Harce Swann officiating. She will lie-in-state at the church for one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Clingerman passed away at her residence, on Sunday, March 6, 2011. She was born on June 17, 1924 in Mississippi to the late, Charlie Monroe McCormick and Bertha Lee Morgan McCormick. She is also preceded in death by her two husbands, Juddy Holcomb and Charles Clingerman; one grandson, Travis Holcomb; one great-grandson, Hunter Holcomb; three sisters, Flora Etta Wise, Helen Self and Roberta Hisaw; two brothers, Jack and Jodie McCormick.

Stella was a member of Johnsons Grove Church, was a loving wife, mother, sister, grand and great-grandmother. She has lived over 40 years in the Bremen area, enjoyed travel and cooking. Mrs. Clingerman was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her kids, and taking care of her family.

Survivors include her Daughter – Joyce Ann (Jimmy) Day; three Sons – Larry (Anda) Holcomb and Billy (Peggy) Holcomb and Charles Holcomb; three Sisters – Jeanette Sandlin, Betty Kilgore and Lillian Stricklin; ten (10) Grandchildren and twenty (20) Great-Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends here at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be, Brian Day, Keith Day, Matthew Day, Collin Day, Barry Holcomb and Kryztofer Huffstutler.
