

Mrs. Venita Louise Sparks of Cullman Alabama passed away on December 1, 2015 at Cullman Regional Medical Center at the age of 85. She was born in Terry Mississippi on July 21, 1930 to Robert G. and Nannie Adele Winter Spencer. She served her country by serving in The United States Air Force and she was a very active member of Welti Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and served in a number of ladies groups. She is preceded in death by: Sisters: Mildred Alderson, Jeanette Hutchins, Brothers-In-Law: Rayford Hutchins and Earl Cook and her parents: Robert G. and Nannie Adele Winter Spencer.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Welti Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jimmy Peyton and Rev. Ray Latham officiating. Mrs. Sparks will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Survivors are: Husband of 62 years: James M. Sparks of Cullman, Al., Daughter: Pamela J. (Warner H. Jr.) Jones of Cullman, Al., Sons: Robert J. Sparks of Cullman, Al., Paul Keith (Connie R.) Sparks of Muscle Shoals, Al., Sister: Catherine Cook of Terry Ms., Brother: Grady R. (Davida Raye) Spencer of Silver Creek, Ms., Grandchildren: Paul R. Collins, Bethany R. (Wade) Woods, Leah K. (Nicklaus) Roth, Amanda J. (Jason) Hollander, Great Grandchildren: Caiden B. Collins, Jonah T. Woods, Ella Rae Woods, Truitt C. Woods, Owen M. Hollander, Myles G. Hollander.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Moss Funeral Home from 5:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Welti Cumberland Presbyterian Church building fund or to a charity of choice in memory of Venita Sparks.
