Funeral services for Wilburn “Will” Cottrell, 74, of Cullman will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, Chaplain Don Froelich officiating, with interment in Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur.
Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cottrell passed away Sunday, Feb. 20, at his residence. He was born June 25, 1936, in Walker County to Clinton and Virgie Blakely Cottrell. He served three years in the U.S. Army and worked at Wolverine Manufacturing in Decatur for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, C.T., Edwin, John and Frank Cottrell; and a sister, Vernez Swindle.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Cottrell of Cullman; a son, Frank (Phyllis) Thurman of Priceville; two sisters, Bobbie (Frank) Horton of Columbiana and Vaudine Mashburn of Bessemer; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, church family and beloved pastor.
Pallbearers will be Alan Jones, Bob Sentell, Martin Legg, Frank Smith, Audie Layton and Vance Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Sherman Cottrell, Carl Legg, Jerry Durham and the Fellowship of Men at Anon Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
