He was born July 13, 1942 to Dew Lee and Beatrice White Ponder. He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Odalene Little (Odie) Ponder; three sons: Christopher Allen Ponder (Tina), Gregory Lee Ponder (Lola), and Michael Glenn Ponder (Angela); Grandchildren: Christopher Allen Ponder II, Paige Ponder Collett (James), Bradley Kyle Ponder (Kayla), James M. Alexander Ponder and Dustin Levi Ponder; great grandchildren: Sipsey Rain Ponder, Nanalee Hope Ponder, Caroline Nell Collett, and Case Allen Collett; and his mother, Beatrice Ponder.
The family will receive friends at Moss Service Funeral Home on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until the celebration of Mr. Ponder’s life which will begin at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery.
