Funeral Services for Willie Mae Murrell, age 96 of Cullman, will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Moss-Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Cullman City Cemetery, with Pastor Sandy Niiler officiating.

Ms. Murrell was born on November 26, 1918 in Cullman County; she passed away at her residence on Friday, December 19, 2014. Willie was the last and oldest charter member at Christ English Lutheran Church, a member of the Red Hat Society and the past bookkeeper at Dean Oil Company.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William & Louise Schaffer Basenberg; her husband, James Elmer Murrell; her son, Gary Edward Murrell; sister, Irene Trucks; 3 – brothers, Harrell, Carl & Clifford Basenberg; and a niece, Martha Cofer.
Survivors include 3 – Nieces – Deborah Sanders, Sandra Doty & Donna Laney; Nephew – Larry Trucks; Sister-in-Law – Louise Basenberg; and a Host of Great-Nieces & Great-Nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
