Even though we didn't see each other as much as our lives went on we remained in touch thru out the years. She was an important part of my family and I wanted her to be happy and well.  Yvonne was determined to be independent as long as she could. And she was till the last days.  I wanted comfort and peace for Yvonne at her journey's final days. She was so happy for Aaron and his family. Especially meeting Ella. 
Yvonne will be forever in my head and heart.  She will be missed.

Before she and Roger married, we three were riding to his house down that dark,  creepy, crooked road by the river. She used to be scared to go down that road and it made Roger laugh. That was the only thing that I remember she was  ever scared of while she was a teenager.

We became friends in school before we became sister-in-laws. We'd go to each other homes and spend the night often. My  1st time to Yvonne's will always stay with me. As soon as we got there she would handwash in the bathtub, hang over the heater to dry , the only pair of Levi jeans she had. Money was tight with Ruby being a single mom. She did this almost every day till Yvonne had saved money to buy another pair so she could wear those Levi's cause at that time Levi's were the coolest thing ever.  I think of her every time I see the Levi logo.

One of her 1st visits to my home that makes me smile is when she was  trying to embarrass and picking at my brother by sitting on his lap. She and I were laughing hard till my dad saw what was going on. Daddy told her she better hope Keith doesn't get "Roman hands". She got 'it', hopped up and was red as a beet. It took me a moment to figure out that daddy was implying "roaming hands to frish her with". Daddy and Keith had the last laugh that day! 

We used to walk to doug  Lambert's service station in Hanceville. One day after it had rained and we were walking nearby, a car made sure to hit that big ole puddle. We got soaked and laughed at. We ended up going back home.

I  often think of her. I've got a few pictures that I'd like to share.

Sending prayers to the family. I am there with you in my heart. I will treasure the memories Yvonne and I shared.  My sister will live forever in my heart.
