Alma Jenkins Steed

Alma Jenkins Steed passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at the age of 96. She was born on August 12, 1925, in Orange County, Virginia. Alma was the wife of the late Omer O. Steed, Jr., from Front Royal, Virginia. Alma is survived by her brother Grover Jenkins, her daughter Diane S. Williams and son-in-law Lloyd F. Williams; her grandchildren, Jason L. Williams and Jennifer D. Williams; and her three great-grandchildren, Odin, Nara, and Aurora. Alma retired from the Department of Anesthesiology at Fairfax Hospital. She moved to Madison County, Virginia, in 2006, to live with her daughter. Alma has been a member of the Front Royal Methodist Church for most of her adult life. Alma will be buried beside her husband Omer at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal. There will be a memorial service at a later date.
