Eddie Wayne Griffith

His family is deeply saddened by the loss of one with such a big heart.

Eddie “Earl”, was born on September 22, 1997. He is survived by his parents Gregory Griffith Sr. and

Teresa Griffith. He also leaves behind five siblings; Gregory Griffith Jr. (Katie), Alexis Griffith, Breanna

Dillion (William), Colton Griffith, and Grayson Griffith. He is also survived by his two nephews; Jordy and

Waylon Griffith; Patricia “Nanny” Banks, best friend, Will Cronk, his two dogs, Dixie and Remi; and

grandparents France Powell, Fred Soutter, Raymond and France Griffith. Eddie also leaves behind many

more loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins that truly miss him.

Eddie was proceeded in death by his beloved “Granny” Dora A. Powell, and his very special dog, Nala.

Eddie started working for his father at G & G Excavating at the age of 16, where he learned very quickly

how to operate heavy duty equipment from his father, and together with his brother, they built a very

reputable company. Eddie was a young man that loved to get his hands dirty; working on pull trucks,

motorcycle and work equipment, but would drop everything for his family and friends if needed.

Eddie enjoyed truck pulling and was part of the Grey Goose Farm Pulling Team. He loved race cars, fast

motorcycles, golfing, hunting, watching professional fighting on TV with his family, creating and

watching TikTok videos; but most of all he enjoyed spending quality time with his family.

Eddie’s willingness to give the shirt off his back, no questions asked, truly shows how big his heart was.

He is known by many for his witty personality and snappy comebacks in any conversations. The impact

he has left on our hearts is immeasurable. Eddie was a wonderful son, brother, nephew, cousin, and

dear friend to many. Eddie’s smile and heart of gold has left us too soon and will truly be missed by all

who had the privilege of knowing him.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 11:00 am at Fairview Cemetery in

Culpeper, VA.

Pallbearers will be Gregory Griffith Jr., Will Cronk, Dustin Rose, Matthew Fant, Austin (Bubby) Griffith,

and Ronnie Lee.
