Elmer "Kyle" Proctor

Elmer "Kyle" Proctor, 81, went to be with Our Lord on May 18, 2022. He was born on December 13, 1940 to Elmer Walter and Sarah Mitchell Proctor of Rapidan, VA. Kyle is survived by his wife of 32 years, Joan Anderson Proctor; his children, Teresa Kyle Proctor (Tim), John Wayne Clatterbaugh, II (Barbara) and Tiffany Clatterbaugh Terry; two grandchildren Wyatt Clatterbaugh and Brett Clatterbaugh and his beloved Lucy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, J.W. Proctor and Douglas Proctor. Kyle retired from Safeway as a Produce Manager; was an avid Washington Nationals and Washington Commanders (Redskins) fan and his greatest joy was spending time with his family, including yearly Walt Disney World visits with Teresa when she was a child. Kyle loved long drives going nowhere (but maybe the orchard with Joan), playing and cheating at Spades with Johnny and Barbara, solving computer word games with Tiffany and going to all of Wyatt and Brett's games and performances. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2022 in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home with Pastor Adam Meisberger officiating. The Funeral will be live streamed as well, for those who cannot attend; view through our website under Kyle's name or view on our Facebook page. Internment will directly follow services in Fairview Cemetery. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers are Brian Barfield, David Barfield, Justin Barfield, Brett Clatterbaugh, John Wayne Clatterbaugh, II and Wyatt Clatterbaugh. Honorary pallbearers are Jake Dodson, John Dove and Dan Shackelford. Memorial Contributions can be made in Kyle's honor to Bethel Baptist Church Benevolent Fund. 6262 Hoover Road, Reva, VA 22735.
