Evelyn Payne Rodda

Evelyn Payne Rodda, 89, of Fredericksburg, VA and formerly of Culpeper, VA passed away in Fredericksburg September 26, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Norman A. Payne, Sr. and Leah Gore Payne and the widow of Edwin Y. Rodda. Mrs. Rodda retired from the Fairfax County School System in 1983 as a secretary and was active in the Culpeper United Methodist Church while she was living in Culpeper.

Surviving Mrs. Rodda is her son Sidney Rodda and his wife Lois; her son-in-law, John McCormick; her siblings, Linda Lieb, Sue Snyder and her husband David, Norman A. Payne, Jr. and his wife Anna, Beverly Chesser, June Breeden and her husband Alvin; her grandchildren, Mary Watson, Martha R. Lewis and her husband Shane and Edwin S. Rodda and her great-grandchildren, Heather, Robert, Cody, Alexis, Nathaniel, Zander and Hope. She is preceded in death by her daughter Delois McCormick.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Culpeper United Methodist Church, Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11:00a.m..The family will greet friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the church.
