Georgia Baker Simpson, 70, of Shenandoah Junction, West Virginia passed away at the Medical Center at UVa. , Charlottesville, VA December 13, 2013. Mrs. Simpson was born to Harry D. Baker, Sr. and Pearl Williams Baker in Loudon County, VA April 24, 1943. She was a homemaker.
Surviving Mrs. Simpson is her mother, Pearl Baker Snyder of Brandy Station, VA; her siblings, Harry David Baker, Jr. and his wife Beth of Catlett, VA, Nancy Huff and her husband Tommy of Orange, VA and Lula Townsend and her husband Steve of Brandy Station, Va and her brother-in-law, Larry Simpson and his wife Diane of West Virginia. Also, there are a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, her husband, Stuart Lee Simpson and her brother, Harold Douglas Baker.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home, Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 2:00 p.m... Pastor Kenneth Schole will conduct the service.
The family will receive friends from 1:00p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Interment will be private.
