

Glenn Dale Campbell, 59, of Culpeper, VA, passed away from Chronic Heart Disease February 3, 2016 at UVa Medical Center, Charlottesville, VA. He was born to Melvin D. Campbell and Margaret Sparks Campbell December 14, 1956 in Washington, DC.
Surviving Glenn is his wife Teresa Williams Campbell of Culpeper; his daughter, Amy Lynne Campbell of Culpeper who has always been the “Apple of his Eye” whom he called “Monkey or Monk”; his grandchildren, Campbell and Isabella Guido, of Culpeper whom he adored with all of his heart; his siblings, Ralph Campbell of Madison, VA and John Campbell of Orange Va, , Theresa Ridgeway of Greene Va and Gary Campbell of Erie, Colorado He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Margaret Campbell and his Grandparents, Ralph and Hazel Campbell and Clifford and Irene Sparks.
Glenn was a Corpsman in the Coast Guard, graduating first in his class. He exceled in this and was ultimately the only medical personnel on board his duty station, USCG Estaca de Vares, in Spain for 1 year. He left the Coast Guard in 1978. Glenn was a member of the Carpenter’s Union #1078 in Fredericksburg, VA. He worked many years at Trinity Packaging in Remington, VA and CCA in Boston VA before retiring with his chronic heart disease .Glenn had a love for golf, swimming and gardening. He loved Cape May, NJ after being stationed on base with the Coast Guard. He also enjoyed Panama City Beach, Florida after visiting his parents in their retirement years. Glenn was the beloved and “Favorite Uncle” of all his nieces and nephews. Everyone loved Glenn and his funny sense of humor, he was adored by all. He was a good friend to many and his personality showed how much he enjoyed the company and presence of others. Glenn was a very dedicated and loyal family member. He would “give the shirt off his back for you”. Glenn is now finding peace and comfort with his long battle of chronic heart disease. He is no longer in pain and we will miss him greatly, he will be in our hearts forever and always in our presence. We love you “Glenn, Dad, PopPop and Uncle Glenn”. He will also be greatly missed by his beloved dog, Valentine. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
