Jessie Jacobs Payne

Jessie Jacobs Payne, 94, of Sumerduck, VA passed away at her home July 2, 2016. Mrs. Payne was born to Albert Morris Jacobs and Lula Embrey Jacobs in Fauquier County Feb. 22, 1922; was a homemaker and a devote member of Mount Holly Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Payne is her son Bobby; her other children Ginger Owens and her husband David, Willard Payne, Jr. and his wife Donna, Dean Payne and Barry Payne; her granddaughter Heather Rector and great-grandchild Kyle; her nieces and nephews, Sharon Flippo, Albert Lunsford, Brenda Gottlieb, Bonnie Embrey, Robert Jacobs, Bryan Jacobs and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves her devoted poodle Abby. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willard and her siblings, Geneva Lunsford, Stuart Jacobs and Taylor Jacobs.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in Mount Holly Baptist Church with interment in Mount Holly Cemetery. Pastor Chaz Campbell will conduct the service.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Clore-English Funeral Home.
