Lois Betty Gore, 97, of Reva, Virginia passed away September 27, 2023 at Countryside Assisted Living in Pratts, Virginia. She was born to John Daniel Woodward and Amy Morehouse Woodward November 2, 1925. She was married to Walter Byrd Gore. Mrs. Gore was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was most active in the church with her talents with the Flower Committee of the church.
She is survived by her son Ronald and his wife Susan; her seven grandchildren; Will Gore & wife Beth, Anne Gore, Amy Kidd, Jen Tatum, Kelly Tatum, Elizabeth Gore and Sarah Gore. Ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and a special niece Donna G. Alvey. Mrs. Gore is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her children, Thomas Byrd Gore and Sandra Gayle Tatum.
Funeral services will be Monday. October 2, 2023 at 12:00pm (noon) in the Bethel Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Pastor Adam Meisberger will conduct the service.
The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00am until service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Flower Committee.
