Margaret Ann Burke

Margaret Ann Burke, 85, passed away at the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community, Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Mrs. Burke was born in Front Royal, VA December 31, 1927 to Jacob H. Sours and Nellie Bumgardner Sours. She was a member of the Alum Spring Church for more than 65 years and taught Sunday School for 40 years; was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Surviving Mrs. Burke are her sons, Richard and his wife Janice of Rixeyville, VA and David and his wife Kwisok of Fairfax, VA; her grandchildren, Richard Guy Burke and his wife Jo Ann of Culpeper, VA and Laura Christin Swallow and her husband Jason of Mechanicville, VA and her five great-granddaughters, Jessica and Ashley Burke, Sara, Samantha and Cynthia Swallow. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Trenton Burke,

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Alum Spring Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Young and Rev. John Miller conducting the service. Interment will be in Washington Masonic Cemetery, Washington, VA.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at church.
