
Mary Ann Lum, age 84, passed away on March 17, 2015 in her Manassas residence, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Mary was born on December 16, 1930 in Lawton, OK to Sgt. Shannon Crow and his wife Inez. After Inez passed in 1935, her father remarried and she was adopted by her father’s second wife Virginia who raised her as her own. She worked throughout her years as a homemaker, switchboard operator, school aide worker, Avon representative, and retail outlet manager.
Surviving Mary are her son, David Pleasants of Fort Collins, CO; daughter, Virginia Pleasants of Euless, TX; daughter, Valari Griffith (Lewis) of Manassas, VA; son, John Lum (Lisa) of Bealeton, VA; three grandchildren, Rebecca Griffith of Manassas, VA; Sian Lum and Leah Lum of Bealeton, VA.
The family will receive friends at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Hwy., Culpeper, VA, Friday, March 27, 2015 from 12pm to 1pm, with a short service at 1pm conducted by Chaplain Jeff Krauss. Graveside funeral services will be held immediately following at Culpeper National Cemetery, 501 E. Chandler Street, Culpeper, VA.
