Roger Baumgardner, Sr.

Roger Lawrence Baumgardner, Sr., of Reva, Virginia passed away December 12, 2023. He was born August 2, 1937 to Roy Lee Baumgardner and Helen Rogers Baumgardner. Roger served his country in the US Army; enjoyed art, music, gaming and was an animal lover. He worked in construction as a plumber and an electrician.

Surviving Roger are his daughters, Tracey Shifflett (James) and April Fincham (Denny); his grandchildren. Roger Eiser, Megan Pullen, Dana Shifflett and Jamie Shifflett and his great-grandchildren, Cayden Eiser and Landon Pullen. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margaret Bailey Baumgardner, his sons Roger Baumgardner, Jr. and Robert Baumgardner and his siblings, JoAnne Petty, Mary Ellen Revoir and Lee Roy Baumgardner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the Madison County Animal Shelter, 4590 Shelby Rd, Madison, VA 22727.

The family will receive friends from 12:00p.m. until 1:30p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, Virginia 22701.

Graveside funeral services will be held in the Culpeper National Cemetery, U.S. Avenue at 2:00p.m. Military honors will be provided by the V.F.W. Post 2524 Honor Guard.
