Ruby Ethel Davis

Ruby Ethel Davis, age 81, of Orange, VA, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at UVA Medical Center, Charlottesville, VA. Born November 8, 1930, in Madison County, VA, to the late John and Evelyn Lohr, Ruby married Noah H. Davis and made her life as a homemaker.

Surviving Ruby are her children; Elaine Saffelo of Orange, VA, Patricia Curtis and her husband Larry of The Plains, VA, Brenda Baker of Orange, VA, Patsy Minor of Orange, VA, Noah H. Davis, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Maryville, TN, Stewart Davis and his fiancé Erin Zerhusen of Orange, VA, Sandra Beahm and her husband Bill of Madison, VA, Debbie Davis of Orange, VA, sisters; Lois, Allison, Marie, Erlene, twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and four great, great-grandchildren. Preceding Ruby in death were her parents, husband, a grandson, a great-grandson and nine siblings.

Services will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in the Clore-English Chapel, with Rev. Robert Gray officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Old Grounds of Culpeper National Cemetery, U.S. Avenue, Culpeper, VA.
