

William “Bill” Henry Fuzia, 92, of Seaside, Oregon, came to the end of his life journey December 3, 2013 in Warrenton, Virginia. William was born in Brooklyn, NY January 30, 1921 to Rudolph and Anna Fuzia. He worked as an engineer for Pilgrim State Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital, West Islip, New York and served in the U.S. Aircorps during World War II. He enjoyed working in his yard, dogs, farm animals, playing cards, working puzzles and watching Western movies.
William was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Geraldine Fuzia. Surviving are children, Joseph “Buddy” Gamble and his wife Carol Ann of Brightwood, VA; Laurence “Larry” Gamble of Myrtle Beach, SC; Maureen Gamble Smith and Cliff Smith of Setauket, NY; William R. Fuzia and his wife, Marsha of Seaside, OR; and Kevin Fuzia and his wife, Joanne of Daleville, VA.; grandchildren, Keith Gamble and his wife Marissa of Myrtle Beach, SC; Anthony Gamble and his wife, Angie of Charlottesville, VA; Brian Bechtolt and his wife Denise; Nicole Smith Babis and her husband, Tim of Setauket, NY; Danielle Gambale-Metz and her husband, Jeff of Bealeton, VA; Kelly Smith Lukemire and her husband, Luke of Setauket, NY and Laurence Gamble of Sayville, NY; and great-grandchildren, Toni Ann, Wyatt, Luke, Sydney, Eva, Roman, Joseph, Vincent, Brodie and Maverick.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Precious Blood Catholic Church, 114 East Edmondson Street, Culpeper, VA with Father Anselme Malonda-Nkuanga officiating. Interment will be Monday, December 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
The family wishes to extend gratitude to the staff of Oak Springs Rehab and Nursing Home. The care and the advice given by the nursing staff was beyond expectations and greatly appreciated.
