

On the morning of August 8, 2015, Liz passed away peacefully of natural causes in her home in Los Angeles (Westchester), California. Liz was 61 years old.
Liz was born in Los Angeles, CA on April 4, 1954. She was the first of three girls born to Frances Bernice and Roger Griswold Williams, Jr.
Liz grew up in Westchester, spending her whole life living in the community. After graduating from Westchester High School in 1971, she attended the University of California at Los Angeles, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology. She met her husband Gary Edward Tryon during college, dating for several years before getting married on October 30, 1976.
Liz was a devoted mother to three children, and was an enthusiastic supporter of them in all of their pursuits. Her most joyous times were cheering them on as they strove to achieve their goals.
Liz was a long-time member of the St. Anastasia Catholic Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister for the last 15 years. She also participated in numerous local organizations such as Girl Scouts and the Junior Women’s Club.
Liz is survived by her mother, Frances; her sisters, Cyndi Weyl and Janet Colburn; her husband, Gary; and her children, Erin Tryon, Gary D. Tryon, and Megan Wiese; and numerous other relatives and close friends.
There will be a visitation from 5-8pm on August 13, 2015, at the Holy Cross Mortuary, 5835 W Slauson Avenue, Culver City, CA 90230. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, August 14, 2015, at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 7390 W Manchester Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90045.
