Linda Karen Oviedo, age 63, passed away in Los Angeles, California, on November 26, 2014. She was born on May 1, 1951, to Dill Muncy, Jr. and Louise (Hampton) Muncy, in Fairfield Township, Butler County, Ohio. She graduated from Garfield High School in 1969. She then moved to Los Angeles, and met Paul Oviedo, of San Jose, Costa Rica, her husband and best friend of forty-four years. Linda was known for her gentle heart, her spirited sense of humor, and her vivacious, outgoing nature. Linda had a natural ease in making others feel appreciated and joyful. She enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling to Costa Rica, and spontaneous weekend trips with Paul. She was an incredibly loving mother and spouse. Her tender, intuitive soul had a special connection with animals, especially dogs. Her dogs were her constant companions over the years, the last one being her little chihuahua, Roscoe. Linda left this world too soon, but is now watching over her loved ones in her tenacious, enduring way...our own angel.
She is survived by her husband Paul, daughter Paulette, and son Nathan, and several siblings and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in her name to the Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles, www.sheprescue.org.
