Ruby Lee Delesbore

Ruby Lee Delesbore passed away, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Lake Forest, California on Thursday, March 17, 2016. Ruby was born in Coushatta, Louisiana on April 10, 1925 to Orie and Mattie Newton. She was united in marriage to Robert Delesbore for 42 years. He preceded her in death in August 2005. Renowned for her impeccable sense of style, Ruby was also a consummate mother and homemaker, equally renowned for preparing exquisite meals. She employed an open door policy with relatives and friends in need. If you needed a place to stay, you could call on "Mother." Her daughter, Gwendolyn Elizabeth Stewart and grandson Kendrike Jones lovingly cared for her the last years of her life. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for Ruby their greatest gratitude. In addition to her husband Robert, she was preceded in death by her 6 siblings, a son, Lewis Steven Stewart in 1983, a daughter Nieta Faye Mayer in 1999 and former husbands Leo Stewart and Andrew Gipson. She is survived by her children and their spouses Orie Stewart (Cynthia), Gwendolyn Elizabeth Stewart, Debi Otto (Glenn) and Keziah Sanders (Bryan), her grandsons Kendrike Jones, Chad Stewart, Thanin Stewart and Ian Sanders, her granddaughters and their spouses Shani Stewart, Kristen Stewart, Ashley Sanders, Ariana Rogers-Wright (Bojurie), Heather Lawrence (Chadd), Cynthia Miller, Crystal Chadwell, Gary Chadwell, Jamiee Chaney, her great-grandchildren Isaiah Jones (Omar Ali), Jazlyn Morris, Madalynn Walker, Astrid Lawrence, Idris Rogers-Wright, Jason Walker, Mason Walker and a host of nieces and nephews.
