

Born on March 14, 1933 in Eel River Crossing, he was the son of the late John and Helena Doucet. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Isabel Laura (nee Lawlor).
He is survived by seven children: Judy (Mike) of Montreal, Myles (Martin) of Milton, Nova Scotia, Rick (late Wanda) of Nackawic, Mona Lee (Rick) of Dalhousie, Peggy Ann (Gino) of Whitby, Karla (Simon) of Ottawa, and Tammy (Eric) of Dalhousie. He was Grampy to thirteen grandchildren: Kelly, Chris and Tim; Sherry, Gordie and Rick; Scotty and Jeffrey; Chelsea; Phillip, Alex and Kayla; and Emily.
He was Grampy-the-Great to thirteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by eight brothers and sisters: Mable, Andrew, Lionel, Arthur, Roger, Anna, Rita and Susan. He was predeceased by his brother Raymond and sister Dora. He will be fondly remembered by his numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and the many folks that were always greeted with a friendly wave from the veranda on the corner of Grey Street.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 24, at 11:00 am, at the St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie.
A private graveyard service will be held immediately after the service.
