

Mary Pearl Palmater (Foster), of Point La Nim, died at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on October 26, 2016 at the age of 90, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Dalhousie on June 20, 1926 daughter of the late Greta Foster (Brown) and James Foster. She was the wife of the late Guy Joseph Palmater of Point La Nim.
She was a devoted mother and loved her many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her young years she was an avid baseball player and she loved to run. Her love of physical activities continued as she aged. She could often be seen walking from Point La Nim to Dalhousie, she danced with her husband at the Dalhousie Golden Age Club and bowled into her eighties. She created a warm and loving home where her home cooking could always bring her adult children back to her table. She loved many creative crafts. She was a World War II Veteran. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a kind, loving woman who always put others before herself.
She is survived by her son Sidney (Ginette) Palmater of Point La Nim; daughter Penny (Yoland) Palmater of Dalhousie; son Guy (Donna) Palmater of Charlo; daughter Sharron (Bill) Humphrey of Point La Nim; and daughter Candy (Denise) Palmater of Toronto; her brother Donald (Diana) Foster of Fredericton and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Earl (Pat) Foster and her sister Dora Beshara (Foster); two grandsons Jeremy and Jonathan; and two sons Bruce and Billy.
Funeral Service will be held at St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie, on Tuesday, December 20 at 11:00 am.
Donations to a charity of the Donor’s Choice would be appreciated by the family.
