Alexander is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cindy Brooks of Kings Mountain, NC; three sons, Andre Brooks and wife, Ann of Gastonia, NC, David Brooks and wife, Lynn of Mt. Holly, NC, Steven Brooks and wife, Sissy of Gastonia, NC; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Rogers of Hillsborough, NC, Becky Tadlock of Charlotte, NC and brother, Jimmie Brooks of Charlotte, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Dallas Funeral Home in Dallas, NC.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
