Nancy B. (Randolph) Clemmer, 77, of Dallas went on to her heavenly home at her sister, Linda Putnam’s home, in Kings Mountain on Wednesday August 16, 2023. Her family described Nancy as the definition of a homemaker. Nancy loved to cook. She cooked and baked for her family, her church and her grandchildren’s schools. Her family fondly remembers her coconut cakes, her humming bird cakes, her fudge and her banana pudding. She regularly planned and baked for parties at her grandchildren’s schools. She cooked meals for those that had recently lost their loved ones. She would spend hours and hours cooking and her family says she always prepared enough “to feed an army.” She taught her family and others how to cook and bake. In addition to her cooking, Nancy gave her time to others. She never met a stranger. Nancy was very artistic, she could paint, do ceramics, and any other thing craft related. She was also a motorcycle enthusiast. Nancy had many friends. She worked at Bimbo’s as a baker and at The Charlotte Douglas Airport as a shuttle bus driver. Nancy made a big impression on all that knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed.
Nancy is the daughter of the late Carrie (Turner) Randolph and Frank Randolph. She lost her husband, Earl “Butch” Clemmer, after 49 years of marriage. A son, Daniel Bumgardner, precedes her in death as well as her sister, Shirley Randolph and brothers, Frank Randolph, Jr., James Randolph and Danny Randolph.
Nancy leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Tina (Drum) Bumgardner of Gastonia and her grandchildren, Brandon Bumgardner of Gastonia, Haley Ray of Belmont, Carrie Bumgardner of Gastonia and Josh Drum of Gastonia. Also grieving the loss of their sister is her sister, Linda (Hayes) Putnam of Kings Mountain and sister-in-law Susie Beach and her husband Bill. Her extended family, including many nieces and nephews who are missing her, as are her special friends, Lea Orr, Miss Wilson, Darlene and Earl Calhoun, Jean Drum and Roxanne Pentecost.
A graveside service and committal will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday August 21, 2023 at The Dallas City Cemetery, 504 Long Creek Church Road, Dallas, NC.
