Abraham F. Rios Jr., age 86, passed away on June 24, 2018 In Dallas, TX. He was born on August, 21, 1931 in San Antonio, TX to Abram H. Rios and Candelaria Flores. Abraham was raised in San Antonio, TX and was a Veteran serving as a Cpl. with the U.S. Army.
He married Emma P. Rios in 1952 and the couple had seven children. He was a custodian at American Airlines where he worked for more than 20 years.
In his spare time Abraham enjoyed BINGO, playing cards, dominoes, pool, going fishing and putting together puzzles, his favorite pass time was playing Golf. His family and friends will always remember him as a caring, loveable, funny, outgoing, No-Nonsense Guy.
He is preceded in death by: his wife Emma P. Rios, his sons, Enrique and Ramon Rios, his two daughters, Estella Rios and Rocio Machado and his three brothers and sister. He is survived by his two daughters, Carmen Rios Chavez and husband Armando Chavez, Maria Louisa Cuevas, son, Galdino Rios and wife Maria Rios and his daughter in law, Aracely Rios. Sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be, Juan Zuñiga, Edward Arrona, Bella Garcia, Ricky Rios, Gee Edward Rios and
Gee Rios Jr. Honorary Pallbearer, Galdino Rios.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. at Gonzalez Funeral Home Chapel; Funeral Mass will be Friday, June 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of Carmel Catholic Church, 2900 Vilbig Road, Dallas TX.75212 with burial to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX 75220.
