Abraham V. Rodriguez

Abraham V. Rodriguez, 87, of Dallas passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at his residence in Grand Prairie, TX. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to all that knew and loved him.

He was born in Dallas, TX on January 3, 1930 to Abraham and Inez Villarreal Rodriguez. He was a 1948 graduate of Crozier Tech High School in Dallas where he was Vice President of the National Honor Society. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force during the Korean War where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He fell in love at the age of 13 with his childhood sweetheart Bebe, later to become his wife of 54 years. Abe and Bebe loved dancing all around Dallas until her passing in 2007. He was a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys since their induction in 1960, an avid reader of books, loved doing crossword puzzles and enjoyed playing golf. He was an electrical engineer at Bell Helicopter for 40 years. During those years he traveled the world and made lifelong friends and memories before retiring in 1992.

Survivors include his daughter Sylvia Cutler and her husband Floyd of Irving, TX; sons, Buddy Rodriguez of Dallas and Joe Rodriguez of Houston; half-brothers, Lupe, Jesse, Fila, and half-sister Barbara. Abe is preceded in death by his half-brothers Raymond, Chris and Michael. He loved and cherished his grandchildren, Adam, Asa, Celia, Chrissy, Christopher and his great grandchildren, Landon, Alanna, Ava, Courtnie, Kearson, Savannah, Chloe and Adline.

Abraham also leaves behind his very special loving companion, Gloria Quiroga and her wonderful family that have shown grace, love and compassion over the years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 pm Friday, March 31, 2017 at Calvary Hill St. John Mausoleum Chapel with entombment to follow.
