Rev. Adolphus Allen Maddox

5 noviembre , 194113 junio , 2021

Matthew 25:33 His Lord said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant, you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many. Enter into the joy of the Lord.

Rev. Adolphus Allen Maddox, son of Calvin Maddox and Carroline Garrett, was born on November 05, 1941 in Henderson, Texas. He was the youngest of his brothers and sisters. Adolphus graduated from Lincoln High School and enlisted into the United States Navy. He retired from the United States Navy in 1982 and also retired from the city of Dallas. Adolphus leaves behind his loving wife of fifty-one years, Carolyn Maddox and his children. He also leaves behind several grand and great grandchildren.

Rev. Adolphus was a true servant of God. He was a long time deacon at Willow Grove Baptist Church. He received a theological degree from Southern Bible Institute in 2009 . He accepted the calling to preach the gospel and took it very seriously. He never passed an opportunity to build relationships with the young men of his church and community. If you ask Rev. Adolphus A. Maddox how he was doing. He would reply “Fair in the middle and sliding on the side.” All that knew him can tell you that he was full of Navy stories. He always had a smile on his face and was willing to help. Rev. Adolphus Maddox was a man of his word. He shared his knowledge to anyone who would listen. Rev. Adolphus believed that blood does not make you family, but love did. He would always say that whomever you loved was your family and displayed this extraordinary love until the day he left us.
