Alana was raised in Dallas since 1959 and graduated from Bryan Adams in 1967. She was an educator for 43 years and had a school library dedicated to her when she retired.
In her spare time, she enjoyed singing at church, reading, needle work and spending time in the yard. Her family and friends will always remember her as a selfless mom that reflected the love of Jesus Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents Al and Gladene Ellington and longtime family friend Jimmy Bently.
She is survived by her son Trent Kendrick.
A visitation for Alana will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
