Albert Julio Torres

Albert Julio Torres, (known as Beto) 78, passed away on November 27, 2024 in Dallas, Texas. He was born on July 10, 1946, in Dallas, Texas to Enrique Ricardo and Eduviges Torres. Albert was raised in West Dallas and graduated from Saint Mary of Carmel School in 1960. He married Maria Maurilia Tinajero in 1973 and the couple had three daughters.

He was a Senior Mechanic at the City of Dallas in the water department where he worked for thirty years and made a lot of friends. In his spare time, Albert enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with the family and making people laugh. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving and caring person who always welcomed everyone. Albert was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a strong-willed man with morals and values for life that kept him strong in faith.

He is preceded in death by his father, Enrique R Torres; mother, Eduviges Ruiz Torres; siblings, Ricardo Torres, Maria Teresa Carreon, Adelaida Chovanec, Francisco Torres, Jose Torres and many more loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Maurilia Torres; daughters, Sandra Olivia Torres, Elizabeth Torres, Monica Torres; son-in-law, Daniel Camarillo; grandson, Daniel Camarillo Jr.; brother, Jesús (Jay) Torres; and several nieces and nephews.

God remained by Albert's side as he fought cancer and other illnesses for twelve years.

A visitation for Albert will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A rosary will occur Friday, December 6, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A mass of christian burial will occur Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St Mary of Carmel Church, 2900 Vilbig Rd, Dallas, TX 75212. An interment will occur Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
