Alfonso Galindo Gonzalez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and pillar of his community, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, in the comfort of his home in Irving, Texas. He leaves behind a legacy of boundless love and enduring strength. Born on May 7, 1950, in Zaragoza Coahuila, Mexico, Alfonso lived a life that radiated warmth, touching countless hearts with his devotion to his family and community. He built a life filled with love.
Alfonso’s greatest treasure was his family-his cherished wife, Norma O. Gonzalez, his three sons, Alfonso Gonzalez III, Xavier O. Gonzalez, and Carlos A. Gonzalez, his daughter Norma Gonzalez-Perez, and his adored grandchildren, Alfonso, Bella, Andre, Avery, Addison, Aubrey, Ariel, Adley, Alexandro, Eduardo, and Joaquin. His love for them was a powerful force, woven into every teaching moment, every shared laugh, and every moment he made unforgettable.
For his children and grandchildren, Alfonso was an unshakeable rock, always there with open arms and wisdom. His support was a quiet promise of unconditional love, a light that never faded.
Alfonso’s strong spirit for community left a lasting mark to those around him. His presence made every gathering feel like family, leaving an enduring legacy in his community.
He is preceded in death by his Father, Alfonso Gonzalez, Mother, Josefa G. Gonzalez, brother, Victor Gonzalez, and sister, Choco Gonzalez-Meza.
He is survived by his wife, Norma O. Gonzalez, his sons, Alfonso Gonzalez III, Xavier O. Gonzalez, and Carlos A. Gonzalez, his daughter, Norma Gonzalez-Perez, his grandchildren, Alfonso, Bella, Andre, Avery, Addison, Ariel, Adley, Alexandro, Eduardo, and Joaquin, and and his siblings, Robert Gonzalez and Elva Benavidez.
A celebration of Alfonso’s life will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220. The visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial followed by the burial will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 11:00 am at the North Chapel of Calvary Hill Cemetery.
