Alice Faye Lawson

Alice Lawson, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away on Friday, July 22 2016 in Flower Mound, TX. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, friend and colleague to all that knew and loved her. But her most favorite title was Nana… She was born on July 10, 1947 in Logan, WV to Alma Hattie Trent and James Edward Martin. Alice graduated from Logan High School in 1965. She married in December 1965 to the love of her life. Alice was employed by GTE/Verizon for over 33 years where she worked in several different areas. Alice and her husband loved traveling and spending time loving and enjoying their grandsons. Alice is survived by her husband of over 50 years, James Edward Lawson, of Flower Mound, TX…one son, Scott Lawson (Julie) of Dallas, Texas; 2 grandsons, Luke and Zach; 3 brothers, Chuck of Frankfort, IN, Teddy of Frankfort, IN and Dana of Middlefield, OH; 3 sisters, Linda Mullins (Lee), of Southington, OH; Connie Pennington (Ronnie) of Ashland, KY and Pam Armetta (Frank) of Frankfort, IN and a close special niece, Celesta Mullins of Middlefield, OH; and a special nephew, Billy J. Lawson (Tina) of Dunlap, TN. Alice had several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Alma Dean and sister Mary Lutz. The visitation and reception will be held Wednesday July 27th,2016 from 5pm-9pm at the Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral home. The Funeral Service will be Thursday July 28th, 2016 3 pm at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home.
