

Allyn Smith Patrick was born on September 28,1935 ,in Dallas, Texas, and died peacefully on Christmas Day, 2021. He is survived by his devoted wife, Julie Boren Patrick; daughter Jennifer Boren Patrick; grandchildren Ryan Patrick Eversole and Connor Neal; brother Brooks Trezevant Patrick Sr (wife Sharon), sister-in-law Ann Patrick. Allyn is also survived by his nephew Pat Patrick (wife Sheila); Aline Patrick; David Patrick (wife Monica); Michael Patrick (partner Will Cromley); nephew Brooks Trezevant Patrick Jr (wife Becky) and Elizabeth Patrick Sullins; niece Elizabeth Chilton Boren Smith (husband Thom); James N. Boren (wife Amanda); Bentley Boren Perez (husband Carlos); Jarrett Rhett Boren; many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews, and his cherished chihuahua Opal Marie.
Allyn was preceded in death by his parents, C. M. Patrick, Sr. and Brooksie Smith Patrick; his beloved daughter Julia Ella Patrick and his brother C.M. “Pat” Patrick, Jr.
Allyn graduated from Highland Park High School in 1953 and earned his BA in Business at the University of Texas, Austin in 1957, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order. Allyn served three years in the United States Navy in Tokyo, Japan, and three years in the Naval Reserve, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. He was a former member of Idlewild, Terpsichorean Club, Calyx;,Dervish Club and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration. Allyn enjoyed a long and successful career in corporate real estate, serving with local icons such as Jim Christen, Joe Foster, Gene Sanger and Andy Beal.

Family and friends will attend a graveside service officiated by Fr. Casey Shobe at 1:00 pm on April 8, 2022, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX. A reception will follow the service.
