Ana Maria Jurado Carrasco, age 78, passed away October 25, 2026 in her home in Dallas, Texas. She was born on July 27, 1948 in San Francisco del Oro, Chihuahua to Ausencio and Lucia Jurado, and was raised in Juarez, Chihuahua.
Ana married Rodrigo Pando Carrasco in 1966, and together they welcomed five children. She devoted 18 years as a homemaker before beginning work as a housekeeper in 1984, remaining self-employed for more than 31 years—an enduring reflection of her steadfast dedication and strong sense of responsibility.
In her spare time, Ana most enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren, sister, and extended family. She spent weekday mornings in the Adult day program at the Larry Johnson Recreation Center, and she especially loved dancing with her relatives at family parties. Those who knew her will remember her for the warmth she extended so freely, the attentive care she showed to others, and the spirited strength she carried—at times feisty, always deeply loving. Above all, she was a devoted wife before her husband’s passing, and a proud mother and grandmother whose family remained the center of her life.
Ana is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Rodrigo P. Carrasco; her siblings Alejandro, Rosa, Ausencio, and Victoria; and her brother-in-law, Ramiro Carrasco, and sister-in-law, Luz Wong.
She is survived by her children: Ramon (Rowlett, TX, wife Gloria), Rodrigo “BB” Jr. (Dallas, TX), Rodolfo “Rudy” (Dallas, TX), Rene (Glenn Heights, TX, wife Rosa), and Ana Rubi (Terrell, TX, husband Larry); and by her sister, Dolores Jurado. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jessica, Vanessa, Mariana, Ashlyn and Dominic (Ramon’s children), Rodrigo Noel, Jr, and Rolando (Rodrigo “BB” Jr. children), Selena (Rodolfo “Rudy’s” daughter), Jacob and Janessa (Rene’s children), and Isaak, Grace and Lily (Ana Rubi’s children).
Ana is further survived by her great-grandchildren: Marquis, Elias, Adrian and Angel Salazar (Jessica’s children), Mylie and Erik Navarrete (Vanessa’s children), Elias and Peyton Silva (Mariana’s children), and Theodore (Ashlyn’s son), as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of those she loved.
