Pie received his formal education at Saint Peter Academy in Dallas, Texas. After graduation from high school, Pie joined the United States Air Force where he served for 20+ years and achieved the rank of E-5 Staff Sergeant. After Pie retired from the Air Force, he worked in the Human Resources department for the Veterans Administration.
Pie enjoyed music, golf, baseball, football (Washington Redskins Fan), exercising and working on his pool.
Pie was preceded in death by his parents, Buster Jackson and Inell Smith, a brother Rev. L.G. Jackson and two sisters, Cutie Lee Sandles and Annie Laura Jackson.
Pie leaves to honor his memory, her sister Edora (Midget) Stell; brother: Willie D. Jackson of Dallas and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
