Angelita R. Gutierrez

Angelita Gutierrez, 101, passed away July 5, 2025 in Dallas, Texas. She was born October 1, 1923 in Dallas to the late Ramon Rosales and Fidela Garcia. Angelita was raised in Dallas and graduated from St. Ann Catholic School. Angelita married Augustine Gutierrez in May 25, 1947 and the couple had five children. She was and excellent tailor who worked for Lee Rider then Jaas K. Wilson where she worked for more than thirty years. In her spare time, Angelita enjoyed shopping, gardening and maintaining her home. She was a member of the Guadalupanas and was very active with senior groups. She also enjoyed going on trips with her family to the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle National Shine. Her family and friends will always remember her for her cooking especially her rice and beans.

She loved cooking for her family and there was always food available for anyone that came to visit her home. Angelita is preceded in death by her husband, Augustine Gutierrez; granddaughter, Ursula Cherry and great-grandchildren, Ramon and Diana Ortega. She is survived by her children, Augustine Gutierrez Jr., Eva Gutierrez, Hermelinda Cherry, Rebecca Martinez, and Mario Gutierrez; siblings, Paul Rosales, Dolores Gonzalez, and Joe Rosales; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.
