Anne Mitchell

Anne graduated from Forrest High School and obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas.

While at Hardin-Simmons, she met Dewey Leon Mitchell from Clovis, New Mexico. Anne married Leon and they had three children: Leland, Lu Anne, and David.

Anne and Leon served as Southern Baptist Missionaries in Jakarta, Indonesia from 1958 until 1990.

Anne has been an active member at Park Cities Baptist Church, and Womens Missionary Union through the Dallas Baptist Association.

Anne is preceded in death by her husband Leon, her parents John and Gladys, and her sister Margaret Jo Wilson.

She is survived by her children Leland Mitchell, Lu Anne Weaver and David Mitchell, their spouses Ruth Mitchell, David Weaver, and Kim Mitchell and their grandchildren James, Kyle and Melody Weaver and Hope, Faith and Joy Mitchell.
