Antonio “El Amigo” Gonzalez Ruiz

Antonio Gonzalez Ruiz, 73, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. He was born on November 22, 1951 in Ignacio Zaragoza, Durango, Mexico, to Maria de Jesus Gonzalez de Ruiz and Jose Ruiz.

Antonio was the sixth of nine children. He was a humble and hardworking man, known for his sweet kindness, hospitality, generosity, and unwavering Christian faith. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met and touched many hearts in a special way.

At the age of 23, Antonio married his beloved wife, Maria Noemi Ruiz, in 1975, creating a beautiful family and life together for 50 years in Dallas, Texas.

Antonio worked for Sara Lee Bakery/Earthgrains for 38 years, and retired in 2012. Because he enjoyed working so much, he worked part-time at “Redbird Mall” as the grounds keeper from 2018 - January 2025. Antonio rejoiced spending time at church and serving the Lord with all his heart in various capacities whenever and wherever he was needed. He loved spending time with his wife, family, grandkids, working at the mall, and doing work around his home, using his favorite gardening tool - the leaf blower, but most of all he loved his Dallas Cowboys!

Antonio was a devoted husband, a caring father, a beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and a loving grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents Maria de Jesus and Jose Ruiz, his older brother, Juan Ruiz. He is survived by his wife, Noemi Ruiz; his children, Laura Ruiz-Rivas, Antonio Ruiz, Jr, and Lupita Ruiz-Morin; his grandchildren CiCi Santos-Gonzalez, Geromino Santos, Jr., Rosabella Rivas, Gabriella Morin, his grandson-in-law Edgar Gonzalez, and his sons in-laws Ruperto Morin, Jr. and Robert Rivas, as well as by extended family and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Antonio Gonzalez Ruiz, de 73 años, de Dallas, Texas, falleció pacíficamente el miércoles 5 de Noviembre de 2025. Nació el 22 de Noviembre de 1951 en Ignacio Zaragoza, Durango, México, hijo de María de Jesús González de Ruiz y José Ruiz.

Antonio fue el sexto de nueve hijos. Era un hombre humilde y trabajador, conocido por su dulce bondad, hospitalidad, generosidad y su inquebrantable fe cristiana. Dejó una huella duradera en todos los que conoció y tocó muchos corazones de una manera especial.

A los 23 años, Antonio se casó con su amada esposa, Noemí Ruiz, en 1975, formando una hermosa familia y una vida juntos por 50 años en Dallas, Texas.

Antonio trabajó para Sara Lee Bakery/Earthgrains por 38 años y se retiró en 2012. Como disfrutaba mucho trabajar, continuó trabajando medio tiempo en “Redbird Mall” como encargado del mantenimiento desde 2018 hasta Enero de 2025. Antonio se regocijaba al pasar tiempo en la iglesia y servir al Señor con todo su corazón, en diversas funciones, siempre que y donde fuera necesario. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con su esposa, su familia, sus nietos, trabajar en el mall y hacer trabajos en su hogar usando su herramienta de jardinería favorita: la sopladora de hojas. Pero, sobre todo, le encantaba a sus Dallas Cowboys!

Antonio fue un esposo devoto, un padre amoroso, un hermano querido, tío, primo y un abuelo muy especial. Fue precedido en vida por sus padres, María de Jesús y José Ruiz, y por su hermano mayor, Juan Ruiz. Le sobreviven su esposa, Noemí Ruiz; sus hijos, Laura Ruiz-Rivas, Antonio Ruiz, Jr., y Lupita Ruiz-Morín; sus nietos CiCi Santos-González, Geromino Santos, Jr., Rosabella Rivas, Gabriella Morín; su nieto Edgar González (esposo de su nieta Cici), y sus yernos Ruperto Morín, Jr. y Robert Rivas, así como su familia extendida y amigos, quienes llevarán para siempre su memoria en sus corazones.
