

Arnold Loretto passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loving family on April 3, 2024, at 92 years old. He was born on October 23, 1931 in Zacapa, Guatemala and immigrated to the United States at a very young age. He settled in Dallas, Texas where he worked and raised his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents Nicolas Loretto and Josefina Loretto Anzueto, daughter Kay Thorne, brothers Carlos and Salvador, sisters Hilda and Berta.
Arnold is survived by his faithful wife of over 52 years, Esthela, son Charles and daughter-in-law Roxane, son Joseph and daughter-in-law Megan, his grandchildren, Kelley, James, Cole, Isabella, Maxwell, and Margaret, step-grandsons Brayden and Bryce, numerous nieces and nephews, godsons/goddaughters, and a large extended family and group of friends.
He was a man of faith and exuberated a passion for hard work and was a founder of a small business, Clarendon Lawn Mower Shop in Dallas, TX (Oak Cliff). He owned and operated the shop as a mechanic for over 30 years and employed and helped many people in the community. He cared deeply about his family and was always eager to help others in need.
Visitation services for Arnold will be held on Tuesday April 9, 2024, between 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a rosary prayed at 6:30pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday April 10, 2024, 10:00am at St. Monica Catholic Church, 9933 Midway Rd., Dallas, Texas 75220. The Rite of Committal and interment will follow from 12:00 to 12:30pm at Laurel Land Memorial Park Cemetery, 6300 South R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75232.
