Aurora Cantu Elizondo

Aurora was born and raised in Mamulique, Mexico. She married Jesus Elizondo Galvan in Mamulique in 1957. They had nine children and raised them in the United States.

In her little spare time Aurora enjoyed cooking, watching her favorite novelas, and taking care of her growing family and 34 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Her family and friends will always remember her as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and as someone who centered her life around the family. She had a beautiful smile, pretty eyes and a cheerful laugh. She also loved to dance with her husband and sons.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas Cantu and Maria Trevino. Also, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Elizondo Galvan. Additionally, she is also preceded in death by her six brothers and sisters: Ramon Cantu, Antonio Cantu, Jose Cantu, Hermina Cantu, Juan Cantu and Rosa Garza.

Aurora is survived by her four sons, Jesse (Maribel), Glafiro, Alberto and Sergio (Connie). She is also survived by her five daughters: Ana Saenz (Fred), Martha Vasquez (Jose), Mary Elizondo (Carlos), Rosie Ramon (Carlos) and Patricia Cardenas(Fred). She is survived by her brother Armando Cantu and sister Esperanza Cantu Trevino.

Aurora who passed away at the magical age of 88, embodied everything that makes up the universe: love, time, and energy.
