Aurora was born in Taft, Texas, to Antonio and Pomposa Arredondo on February 6, 1923. She worked as a tailoring apprentice at Sanger Harris Department Store and gradually became a much sought after tailor by such companies as American, MuseAir, and Braniff Airlines. She retired in 1986 so she and her beloved husband, Domingo, could enjoy a much earned relaxing country life.
Aurora met Domingo Guerra in Amarillo, Texas. They married in November 1942 and eventually had three children. Aurora and her husband loved going dancing and spending time with their family and friends.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Antonio and Pomposa; her loving husband of 70 years, Domingo; and her siblings, Antonio, Hermes, Adela, Dora, and Luis. They are all together now in peace with God, along with many other relatives and friends. Aurora is survived by her children, Dora and her husband Jerry Milam, Domingo Guerra Jr., Yolanda and her husband Lee Moses, and her grandchildren, Monica and Lance Milam.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to her priest Fr. Assaad of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church; the wonderful care-givers at Rambling Oaks Assisted Living and Rehabilitation, Ardent Hospice, A.C.T. Home Health Care Services; and, to Aurora’s many friends who were all very caring and supportive.
