Barbara Ann LaDue

5 agosto, 1963 – 1 enero, 2021
EN EL CUIDADO DE

Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home & Hillcrest Mausoleum & Memorial Park

Barbara LaDue passed away in Dallas, Texas, on January 1, 2021. Born in Dallas on August 5, 1963, Barbara attended Ursuline Academy, Episcopal School of Dallas and graduated from The Alexander School. Barbara worked in human resources for the family business, Rochester Gauges International.

A loving mother devoted to raising her two sons, Barbara’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially at her ranch in East Texas with her animals: six dogs, five cows and two donkeys. All who knew her will attest to her undeniably special bond with all animals, from cats and dogs to cows and donkeys.

When home in Dallas, Barbara loved to socialize with friends and go dancing whenever she could. She was an active member in the St. Monica and Jesuit communities, contributing her time to organizations involving her sons and spending countless days at the ice rink supporting their hockey careers. Barbara combined her love of animals and desire to serve the community by volunteering at Equest. She also served on the Board of Trustees for Wasatch Academy.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Jack Whyte LaDue; mother, Dorothy Demarest LaDue; and brother, Charles Kevin LaDue. She is survived by her sons, Matthew Stuart Nitishin (Brooke Van Poppelen) and Jack Luke Nitishin. She is also survived by her sister, Suzanne LaDue Weiner (Stan); brother, Jack Richard LaDue; and sister-in-law, Amy Burt LaDue. Barbara was a doting “Lala” to her grandson, Cato Charles Van Nitishin, who had her wrapped around his little finger. She is also survived by nephews, Chase and Jack LaDue; nieces, Parker and Katie LaDue; cousins, Dyanne LaDue Auer (Tim) and M.J. “Skeeter” LaDue (Cheryl) and sons Mason, Clayton and Justin LaDue.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made to Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis https://www.acceleratedcure.org or to DKMS, in memory of her brother Charles Kevin LaDue. DKMS is an organization committed to increasing stem cell donors worldwide in the fight against blood cancer. https://www.dkms.org/en.
