Barbara Ann Roberson

Our beloved Barbara Roberson, age 81, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 6, 1943, in Dallas, Texas, she was the fifth of six children to Evans Bolden and Pearlie Mae Harris.

Barbara lived a fulfilling life in Dallas, where she married LaVert Roberson after high school. Together, they welcomed their son, LaVert Roberson, Jr. A dedicated professional, Barbara pursued her passion for nursing, becoming a licensed vocational nurse (LVN). Known for her knowledge, preparation, and deep concern for her patients, she approached her work with a commitment that earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and patients alike.

Family was at the heart of Barbara's life. She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend, never missing a family gathering or special occasion. Barbara lovingly cared for her parents and older sister in their later years, embodying the spirit of selflessness and devotion.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LaVert Roberson Sr., her sisters Ola Banks and Ethel Jackson, and her brothers Jesse and Robert Jackson. Barbara is survived by her son, LaVert Roberson, Jr.; her only surviving sister, Elisabeth Bolden Jones; her granddaughter, Sade Roberson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished family members, including Elisabeth Jones, LaTanya Alexander (Edward), Jamie Jones, Dr. Eric Banks (Cheryl), Christopher Banks, Manual Oliver, Tory Preston, Xavier Walker, and Donovan Walker.

Barbara will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know and love her.
