Betty Jane Evers passed away on July 15, 2015 at Richardson Methodist hospital in Dallas after a short illness. Her nephew Dale was at her side. Betty was born in El Paso, Texas on September 30, 1922. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Fred and Maude Evers, her brother, Duane Evers and her sister, Dorothy Cunningham. She is survived by two nephews, Dale Cunningham of Albuquerque, NM and Duane Cunningham of Heath, Texas.
Betty was born in El Paso, Texas and grew up in Dallas, Texas where she graduated from Sunset High. She retired from Mobil Oil in 1978 after 30 years of service. After retirement she spent her time reading, attending retirement and book club meetings, travelling, dining around Dallas, and attending musical events and plays around the Dallas area.
The funeral services are set for 11:00 am on Thursday, July 30th, 2015 at Tyler Street Methodist Church in Dallas. Entombment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dallas, Texas in a private ceremony with the direct family that day after the services. The family requests donations to the Scottish Rite Hospital in her memory.
