Betty was born on January 4, 1928 in Taylor, Texas to Jerome and Annie Stasny. A graduate of Taylor High school, she moved to Dallas and in 1953 became a Flight Attendant for Pioneer Airlines and Continental Airlines for six years. She married Tony Gayle on December 19, 1959. They made their home in Dallas before moving to Arlington in 1973. Their winter seasons were enjoyed making their home on Sanibel Island and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Betty was a true lady, kind, loving and generous to a fault. She had a love for all animals.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, brother Clement and her husband Tony.
Betty is survived by her step-son John W. Gayle and his children Chris Gayle and Paige Martin; her cousins Tana Conner and Sheryl Stephens; her best friend Judy Freeman; her caregiver and close friend Philippine Kingson; many cousins and friends.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Sparkman Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm followed by funeral service at 2:00 pm with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to either a breast cancer research or Susan G. Komen Foundation.
