Betty Jane McDaniel

Betty is survived by her daughter, Mary Mounce of Dallas, PA, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Russel and her daughter Jewel Ann Reed.

Betty was born on December 23, 1921 in Springfield, Missouri to Robert and Jewel Burnie. She graduated from High School in Texarkana, Arkansas in 1939, and attended Draughon's Business College in Dallas, Texas for the following year. She married Russel McDaniel in 1941 and they made their home in East Dallas for the duration of their lives. She gave birth to 2 daughters, Jewel Ann, and Mary Margaret. She assisted Russel in his real estate and insurance business at times and was a full time homemaker. She was very active in East Grand Baptist Church, Dallas, now Grandview Baptist Church, Mesquite, since 1947.

A funeral is scheduled for 10am December 15 at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd., Dallas, TX 75228, with visitation 6-8pm December 14. Dr. Milfred Minatrea will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Betty's life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the support of the McDaniel Mission Home in care of Mary Mounce, 123 Church St., Dallas, PA 18612.
